We were able to locate detailed royalty sharing information for Kansas State University dating as far back as 1989.

When any revenue is obtained by the Foundation from the assignment or licensing of any software, not less than 25% of revenues will be paid to the creators.

An email from a representative of Kansas State further stated that the Inventor's Department(s) recevies 10% of revenues (generally going to the Inventor's Lab), and the remaining 65% goes to the Kansas State University Research Foundation.
