2013 Policy

University of Miami Faculty Manual (2014-2015)

The University shall retain all such royalties until it shall have recovered in full all expenses incurred in connection with the filing and prosecution of a patent application, or applications, for the discovery or invention in question.

The next $1,000 of such royalties shall be paid to the inventor or inventors of the discovery or invention.

For any additional royalty over $1,000, the inventor will receive one-third.
