We were able to locate detailed royalty sharing information for the University of Michigan dating as far back as 1991. An email from a representative of the University of X stated that the school has had three iterations of its policy on patent royalty distribution. The first applied to agreements effective before July 1, 1996; the second to agreements between July 1, 1996, and July 1, 2004; and the third to agreements entered into after July 1, 2004 (with respect to the inventor share).
