We were able to locate detailed royalty sharing information for the University of Minnesota dating as far back as 1967.

The University has had two iterations of its policy on patent royalty distribution, with the first adopted in 1967, and the second adopted in 1986. Although the IP Policy at the University of Minnesota has been amended several times since 1986, the inventors' royalty share has remained the same.
